From fine antiques and quality jewelry to farm equipment, firearms, and collectibles – personal property auctions give you a chance to bid on items you won't find anywhere else. Whether you're new to bidding or just want a refresher, here's exactly how the process works from start to finish.
Find an auction.
Browse
current auctions and click on the one you're interested in.
Create a free account. Click
create account here and register with your name, email, and a valid credit card. This gets you approved to bid.
Attend preview. Check the listing for a preview date. The preview is your chance to see items in person before you bid. This optional but recommended, as all auction items are sold as-is.
Place your bids.
Browse the catalog, click on the items you want, and enter your bid. For the best shot at winning, use the
max bid feature — enter the most you're willing to pay, and the system will only bid as much as needed to keep you in the lead.
Auction ends — check if you won.
Lots close at the scheduled time, though items with late bids may extend a few extra minutes. Log in or check your email to see what you won.
Schedule your pickup time.
After the auction ends, you'll receive an email from Shipping Saint with the option to schedule a pickup or select shipping. From the email, you'll be able to view available appointments, then select and confirm your preferred time.
Pay your invoice.
You'll receive an invoice by email. You can choose to pay it in person on pickup day or pay ahead with your credit or debit card. Credit card payments include a 3.5% processing fee. Invoices over $1,500 must be paid by cash. Personal checks and credit cards aren't accepted above $1,500.
Pick up your items.
Bring your paid invoice (printed or digital) to the pickup at the scheduled time and location. Our personal property team will guide you to your items!
