Now Hiring: Personal Property Team Members

Atterberry Auction & Realty Company helps families sell with confidence through trusted personal property auctions in Columbia, MO, and the surrounding area. We often meet people during big moments in life: downsizing, moving into senior living, or settling a loved one’s estate. That’s why we lead with compassion, respect, trust and professionalism in everything we do. Great teams make great auctions, and every person on our team matters.


Our personal property team is growing, and we’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented people to grow with us. You’ll help organize, photograph and list items for online auctions, from tools, coins and firearms to vintage collectibles, equipment and more. Every auction is a little different, and you never know what you’ll uncover next.


The schedule is built for real life. You’ll work daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with steady hours you can count on from week to week. It’s a great fit if you need to be home more for your kids, if you’ve stepped back from full-time work but aren’t ready to slow down, or if you’ve always been drawn to the stories behind vintage and antique pieces.

  • What You'll Do

    • Organize, tag and photograph items for auctions in our clients’ homes
    • Research and write accurate listing descriptions
    • Work on-site previews and pickups, providing friendly, professional service to buyers and sellers
    • Treat every item and family with care and respect

  • Skills & Experience

    • Strong computer, spelling and writing skills
    • Sharp attention to detail
    • Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills
    • Willingness to learn new auction technology
    • Comfortable standing, lifting and staying active
    • Reliable transportation to auction locations

  • Schedule & Pay

    • Part-time, 20–25 hours per week
    • Daytime hours, Monday through Friday
    • Consistent hours from week to week
    • Occasional pickups run until 7pm, always scheduled well in advance so you can plan ahead
    • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
    • Mileage reimbursement for travel outside of Columbia
